PowerMaxOS 10 (6079).
- TimeFinder operations are not supported on Open Replicator control volumes on storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977 or PowerMaxOS 5978.
About this task
Copies of data from a standard device (which are online for regular I/O operations from the host) are sent and stored on BCV devices to mirror the primary data. Uses for the BCV copies can include backup, restore, decision support, and applications testing. Each BCV device has its own host address, and is configured as a stand-alone device.
To cancel the relationship between volumes in a BCV pair:

Select the storage system.

Select
to open the
TimeFinder/Mirror dashboard.

Do the following, depending on whether you want to perform this operation at the group level or the pair level.
Group level:
- Select a device group and click
Cancel.
Pair level:

Select a device group and click
to open the
Mirror Sessions List view.

Select one or more pairs and click
Cancel.

To attach session options to the operation, select
Advanced Options and select any number of
options.

Do one of the following:
- Click
Run Now to perform the operation now.
- Expand
Run Now and click
Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see
